ABOUT

The Minstrel Players were founded by Ray and Debbie Palen over 15 years ago.  Originally based in Levittown, they made Trinity Episcopal Church their home for fifteen years.  With the producing team of Tara Palen and Robert Cashman, they put on a series of critically acclaimed productions and created a wonderful base for local actors to thrive while providing top notch shows at an affordable price.  In June of 2015, they moved to Florida to explore new opportunities and handed the reins to Evan Donnellan and Tricia Ieronimo, longtime Minstrel veterans. Evan now runs The Carriage House Players, and Tricia is honored to carry on the Minstrel name surrounded by a strong group of other Minstrels.

The Minstrel Players performances range from popular comedy and drama, to original works by local writers and directors, as well as their annual productions of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."  The Minstrel Players adaption of "A Christmas Carol" was originally written by founders Ray and Tara Palen, and has been updated periodically through the years by current and former Minstrels. All of these plays bring together local actors who graciously volunteer their time because they share the same passion for theater and a desire to enrich the local community through their performances.

If you would like to be a part of the Minstrel family, either as an actor, a local business looking to partner with a passionate theater troupe, or simply an audience member looking to support and enjoy community theater, please feel free to visit our contact page.
